DESCRIPTION
As a part of our Transportation Engineering team, the Transportation Civil Associate will assist Project Engineers and Project Managers with tasks appropriate for a junior-level engineer including:
•Civil engineering design focused on roadways, highways, and multimodal facilities
•Assists with the preparation of studies, construction documents, drawings, exhibits, maps, reports and supporting documentation.
•Assists with the preparation of quantities and construction cost estimates
•Assists with the preparation of construction drawings
•Occasionally visits work sites, reporting findings to Project Engineers and/or Project Managers
•Coordinates with technicians to ensure timely and accurate documents or drawing preparation
PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS
•Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with coursework relevant to working in the transportation engineering field
•2 - 4 years of relevant experience
• EIT certification or will obtain EIT
•An eagerness to learn and apply your engineering skills to develop creative problem-solving designs.
•Ability to communicate and effectively participate as part of an engineering team is critical
•Computer knowledge/experience with the following: AutoCAD, Civil3D, Microstation, OpenRoads Designer, and Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).
COMPENSATION
The salary range for this position is $66,000-$99,000. This will be dependent on the experience and expertise of the incoming candidate.
