Conference & Events Planner (Finance)



The Conference and Events Planner (Preschool Programs) is an integral part of Arts4All Florida and performs administrative work and coordination of programs, events, and trainings related to visual and performing arts education for children with disabilities, ages 3-5. This position has responsibility for coordination of all aspects of assigned programs and events, including development, planning, promotion, scheduling, registration, delivery, and evaluation. Programs and events overseen include but are not limited to in-person and virtual community art classes, artist-in-residence programs, library art and literacy programs, early childhood teacher trainings, and more. The Conference and Events Planner (Preschool Programs) should have experience in planning and implementing arts education programs for children with disabilities, ages 3-5. This job includes occasional Saturdays and limited travel. Must have reliable transportation. Please note- this is a grant-funded position.

Arts4All Florida provides, supports and champions arts education and cultural experiences for and by people with disabilities. A private not-for-profit organization, Arts4All Florida conducts art education programs in schools, Department of Juvenile Justice facilities, and community centers; promotes the accomplishments of artists with disabilities through our artist registry, exhibitions, and performances; and increases access to the arts through professional development workshops. For more information on Arts4All Florida, please visit www.arts4allflorida.org.This position requires a Bachelor's degree in art education, special education, early childhood education, or related field, with two years of experience in related positions; or a Master's degree in the fields listed above; or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.

Demonstrated experience working with young children with disabilities preferred.

Degree Equivalency Clause: Four years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree.

• SB 1310: Substitution of Work Experience for Postsecondary Education Requirements
• A public employer may include a postsecondary degree as a baseline requirement only as an alternative to the number of years of direct experience required, not to exceed:
• (a) Two years of direct experience for an associate degree;
• (b) Four years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree;
• (c) Six years of direct experience for a master's degree;
• (d) Seven years of direct experience for a professional degree; or
• (e) Nine years of direct experience for a doctoral degree
• Related work experience may not substitute for any required licensure, certification, or registration required for the position of employment as established by the public employer and indicated in the advertised description of the position of employment.

Coordinating all aspects of early childhood educator professional learning opportunities focused on art education and accommodations for young children with disabilities, including booking and scheduling programs; hiring presenters and overseeing the Florida Department of Education review process; overseeing registration; adding program information to the database; adhering to program budgets; tracking required forms and evaluations; coordinating production of flyers and other promotional materials; ordering supplies; providing certificates of participation; and serving as the main contact for people registering or having questions.

Developing and testing accessible art education curriculum for children 3-5 and training teaching artists to utilize the curriculum. Other duties as assigned. Apply
