Leading in employing emerging technologies including deep learning to enhance the performance and capability of machine vision systems and advance manufacturing profitability
Consulting with internal business partners and assessing potential applications to identify high-value opportunities for machine vision technology integration
Providing effective robotic system solutions to a variety of new and existing automated process equipment
Selecting hardware and providing software to run new process equipment
Providing support for machine installation and commissioning
Your Skills and Expertise:
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Two (2) years of experience in one or more of the following areas: machine/computer vision, automated inspection, industrial automation, manufacturing technology, robotics, and/or controls systems in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Possess a Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar major from an accredited institution
Experience with Fanuc or Keyence or Cognex machine vision platforms
Experience with automation and/or robotics
Knowledge in machine learning and data analytics
Experience with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley systems and hardware
Location: Valley, NE (On-site)
Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international
Relocation Assistance: May be authorized
Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
