Route Sales Inside Sales Representative (Sales)

The goal of the Route Sales Delivery Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is to convert customers from stocking competitor products such as Filters, Ground Engagement Tools (GET), and batteries to stocking Caterpillar and/or Wagner allied products. In addition, the Route Sales Delivery ISR will coordinate with Product Support Sale's Representatives (PSSR) as well as the ISR Supervisor to identify potential customers fit for the route and maintain/ grow the territory. This role will develop a set schedule to visit customers, manage and maintain a customer's stock while building strong relationships in a manner that reflects the company's vision of working as “One Professional Team.” The Route Sales Delivery ISR will engage with customers in sales activities, such as demonstrating, qualifying, quoting, and closing the sale.

Pay Rate:  $67,873.44 - $93,328.89 Annually 
Pay rate is dependent upon education & experience. 

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinates, demonstrations and facilitates the quote and qualification processes
  • Coordinates with outside sales representatives
  • Tracks specific account and sales goals using our CRM system
  • Delivers and properly loads/unloads product
  • Utilizes route planning and GPS data to perform in depth analysis and develop performance improvement plans on existing and new routes
  • Ability to manage multiple sales leads and opportunities at any given time
  • Establishes and grows value added, consultative relationships with our customers
  • Develops strong positive relationships with our outside sales representatives and other employees
  • Delivers product on time in an efficient manner utilizing strategic driving skills and map/ address orientation
  • Reports safety issues to supervisor as well as keeps the sales truck clean inside and out
  • Recognizes sales opportunities and follows up in a timely manner
  • Manages and maintain a customer's stock
  • Qualifies accounts, and begins to develop the customer relationship
  • Promotes all aspects of the Dealership by promoting sales, parts, service, rental, and Customer Support Agreements for all products and services represented by the dealership.
  • Performs simple needs analysis to determine individual customer's needs and provide solutions to fit those needs
  • Knows and can communicate effectively about various Dealer products and services
  • Maintains an active DOT Medical Card as well as keeping the truck's annual DOT inspection up to date
  • Maintains daily truck logs and inspections
  • Ability to understand and use multiple programs and systems simultaneously such as SalesLink DBS, SIS, Dealer.cat.com, Vision Link, SIMSi, etc
  • Other duties as assigned by manager

Required Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • College Degree in any discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3-5 years in outbound phone sales preferred
  • 3-5 years administrative/clerical experience
  • 3-5 years customer service experience
  • 3-5 years sales experience

Additional Eligibility Requirements:

  • DOT Medical Card
