Transportation-Rail (Corporate) (Project Management)
Idaho Forest Group is currently seeking a Transportation Coordinator to join our team.
This role is responsible for enabling an efficient day-to-day transportation operation.
Essential Functions:
• Communicate effectively and support sales team's logistic needs
• Provide superior customer service to cross functional teams and maintain effective and strategic alignments
• Manage the relationships with common carriers and establish strategic carrier partnerships
• Effectively track freight lanes to ensure competitive rates and service
• Coordinate with carriers to ensure all loads are acknowledged to maximize efficiency and on-time service
• Work independently with minimal oversight
• Other duties as needed
Qualifications:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the transportation industry, including experience with Truck Loads and Rail shipments
• Proven proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office applications
• Experience with collecting, analyzing, presenting and reporting transportation data
• Experience with shipping standards, laws and requirements, including international shipping
• Knowledge of DOT, FRA and AAR rules and regulations
• Knowledge of Rail Equipment and Infrastructure
• Customer service background is preferred
• Prior experience with lumber products a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license

Physical Requirements:
Move safely, quickly, and perform duties with repetitious movement. Sit and/or stand for shift, reach with hands and arms, stoop, squat, twist, push and pull, maintain balance, bend at the waist, kneel, walk varying distances, and climb stairs. Must be able to tolerate all weather elements, loud conditions, vibrations and airborne particles (sawdust).
