The Department of Family Medicine of the Keck School of Medicine of USC provides care for every member of the family, across generations and over lifetimes. Our goal is to combine education, patient advocacy, and evidence-based research to advance family medicine and geriatrics.
The Department of Family Medicine (DFM) is seeking a full-time physician to join the faculty practice and serve as Vice Chair of Clinical Affairs.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years' experience in clinical administration and be skilled in primary care growth and innovations strategies, business and practice development and fiscal operations. Candidate will hold a current M.D. or D.O. medical license, be board certified in Family Medicine and have a record of progressive administrative experience in a variety of practice settings, preferably in an academic medical center setting. This candidate will take pride in providing exceptional, person-centered care and embrace the Family Medicine approach of caring for people and their families in the context of their communities by promoting wellness through high-tech and holistic approaches.
Administrative Responsibilities:
Under supervision of Department Chair, the Vice Chair of Clinical Affairs guides the primary care strategy development and provides operational and administrative oversight of all clinical activities within the DFM. Estimated 60% of time.
Builds and maintains an active outpatient panel. Estimated 40% of time.
