Under the supervision of the Director, Financial Systems, the Financial Systems Support Manager is responsible for the management of all Financial Systems software suites as well as the financial systems support team. The candidate will provide ongoing business and technical support for enhancements, issue resolution, and data/configuration updates within the tools. This position requires a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail along with experience in financial system support, project management, and report writing. This position will work closely with external support Partners, internal finance IT support, and have an active hands-on role with finance business teams to identify and create enhancements that will provide stability and efficiencies. This position will also play a role in the ERP company-wide strategy, planning, execution, and support of integration activities for acquisitions.
The current financial systems landscape includes but is not limited to Oracle Fusion ERP and EPM, Zuora RevPro, Concur Expense Reporting, Vertex tax software, Fx Uploader, Workday HCM and Payroll, Ryan Tracker Unclaimed Property Software, and Salesforce CPQ.
Major Responsibilities:
Provide day to day management for all related ERP Financial systems and Support Staff (60%):
Lead and develop a team of financial system associates by providing technical leadership through coaching and mentorship. Identify and encourage areas for growth and improvement within the team.
Manage a team that provides Tier 1 and Tier 2 end-user support across all financial systems with the ability to handle advanced requests. As needed, escalate Tier 3 support needs or system enhancement requests to support partner(s). In both cases ensure timely resolution delivered to end-users for system issues, enhancement, and reporting needs.
Drive Continuous improvements across all financial systems and processes, including ongoing business process reviews on a regular basis to ensure we are utilizing full functionality of all financial system tools
Lead and coordinate efforts around release planning and execution
Build and manage relationships with external IT consultants and suppliers, including management of Managed Services agreements. This includes working with these suppliers to deliver requirements and test results.
Work with internal IT Teams to deliver automation on financial processes, including but not limited to billing, revenue recognition, and treasury services
Work with matrixed IT teams to deliver technical assistance, and to promote technical changes into production.
Contribute to the development of expanded payment processes and services
Maintain overall system understanding by researching new capabilities provided through recurring feature releases and proactively pursuing any relevant training or certifications
Financial System Data Management and Reporting (20%):
Data management to ensure 100% data accuracy between multiple integrated financial solutions (i.e. transactional, planning, and reporting system data in sync after scheduled job refreshes)
Ensure Quality of enhancement deployments by participating in Quality Assurance (QA), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and end-user training activities. This includes documentation of test plans and results.
Using multiple data sources, this position will use their advanced SQL, OTBI, and Excel skillset to regularly develop complex reporting, trending, and analysis
Designs, implements and maintains dashboards for finance leaders, executive management, and other departments for fast, timely, and actionable insights into company performance and metrics
Work directly with finance teams to leverage the systems to automate and improve reporting and analysis, including dashboard development
Provide weekly metrics reporting on ticket velocity (new, resolved, outstanding tickets) across all ERP systems supported, as well as resolution of Trello board cards.
Special Project Management & Support (20%):
Plays a role in the development and execution of integration plans for new acquisitions
Performs acquisition data integration analysis, cleanup, and designs data migration strategy
Utilize project management skills to ensure that project milestones/goals are met and adhere to approved budgets and timelines.
Helps with cross-functional team process improvement or reporting projects as needed by leveraging business process expertise and overall company understanding
Other projects as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a financial discipline with 3-5 years of direct experience; MBA or CPA preferred
Experience with Oracle Fusion ERP systems required;
Experience working with a reporting platform, such as Microsoft's SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) is a plus. Oracle Smartview and Oracle OTBI experience preferred.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint, with emphasis on Excel)
GSuite experience (preferred)
Financial analysis experience a plus
Project management experience managing ERP system upgrades, enhancements, and implementations, including functional spec and UAT documentation
Demonstrated ability to solve technical problems
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including technical documentation
