Subject Matter Specialist II - Cyber, Launch Systems Engineering (Government)



***Contingent upon contract award***

Responsibilities:

  • Provide Systems Security Engineering (SSE) and Cyber expertise to assist the Government in all aspects of Program Systems security and cyber.
  • Update program security documents.
  • Evaluation of Launch Service Provider (LSP) systems security and cyber protections evaluate waivers and deviations.
  • Develop and present all materials associated with the Quarterly NSSL System Security Working Group (SSWG).
  • Support personnel security, RMF, ITAR, COMSEC/OPSEC assessments, etc.
  • Cybersecurity Assessment and Authorization activities.
  • Develop, store and manage applicable security documentation in the 1564 Security Library.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Detail oriented and capable of completing multiple time-sensitive tasks.
  • Must be able to prioritize workloads.
  • Must thrive in fast-paced, changing environment with minimal supervision.
  • Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with supporting Program Protection Planning activities to support multiple LSPs.
  • Experience in planning and logistically supporting Working Group Meetings involving government programs and DoD personnel, LSPs, the Intel Community, VAFB, CCAFS, or Kennedy Space Center Security Personnel.
  • Experience updating the NSSL Counterintelligence Support Plan.
  • Experience planning and executing Annual Physical Security Audits.
  • Experience identifying NSSL Intelligence Threats and risk management.
  • Experience supporting Personnel Security, and verifying and submitting personnel security clearances in order to participate in sensitive activities involving NSSL programs.

Experience and Education Requirements:

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or STEM-related Field.
  • Requires US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance is required to be considered for this position.
  • 10-12 years of work or internship experience in a related field.
  • Ability to obtain and hold a secret clearance.

Preferred

  • S/TS Clearance.
  • Security/Cyber security certifications.
  • Experience with supporting EELV Program Protection Planning activities to support multiple LSPs.
  • Experience in planning and logistically supporting Working Group Meetings involving Enterprise Core Launch programs and DoD personnel, LSPs, the Intel Community, VAFB, CCAFS, or Kennedy Space Center Security Personnel.
  • Experience updating the NSSL Counterintelligence Support Plan.
  • Experience planning and executing Annual Physical Security Audits of Launch Service Provider facilities housing EELV Critical Program Information and Critical Components.
  • Experience identifying NSSL Intelligence Threats and risk management.
  • Experience supporting SMC/ECL Personnel Security and verifying and submitting personnel security clearances in order to participate in sensitive activities involving NSSL programs.

Physical Requirements/Working Environment:

  • Office environment.
  • Must successfully pass pre-employment drug screening, subsequent random screening per antidrug and alcohol misuse prevention program requirements.

Travel:

  • Travel may be required and will be performed under the guidelines of Federal Travel Regulations (FTR) and/or Joint Travel Regulations (JTR).
