The bank is already well along the way on transition to agile delivery methodologies and is in earlier stages of adopting an API-first technology strategy and a focused effort to bring the organization to the public cloud. Amidst this, SVB is looking to hire a new Technology Infrastructure RISK AND SPECIAL FOCUS OPERATIONS LEADER who will play the key leadership role in ensuring that the bank runs a highly available, reliable, resilient, and scalable infrastructure environment in a cost effective, efficient manner.
The right candidate for this critical role will balance keeping the bank's systems up, operational, and secure while driving the change needed to embrace innovative methods and technology such as automation, big data analytics, IaaS, PaaS, and Cloud. SVB's clients and business growth dictate a pace that enables the bank to release new features frequently, pivot quickly, and expand efficiently while always operating within the appropriate financial services controls and policies. The key challenge to this role is to define the vision while leading and strengthening the team and services that will deliver superior system performance and resiliency to support SVB's growth objectives.
As SVB's technology needs evolve over time, with flexibility, efficiency, and speed requirements continually increasing, this individual must bring a strategic vision and take a long-term approach to decision making in order to ensure that the firm's infrastructure footprint continues to evolve along with these needs. This leader must understand how to continually and incrementally enhance SVB's infrastructure environment while maintaining a focus and discipline with respect to performance and cost.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE
Five years of enterprise-level infrastructure leadership experience
Experience in a global or division-level infrastructure leadership role with hands on experience on PMG, DR and Acquisition Integration for a complex organization.
Eight years of infrastructure engineering and operation experience
Experience leading plan and build teams across multiple levels of the stack (database, network, storage, compute, etc.)
Legacy platform transformation experience in a complex, global environment
Experience leading a complex PMG and DR program in banking industry, understand the .
Experience with modern infrastructure technologies and methods
Public and private cloud, software-defined infrastructure, robotics process automation, site reliability engineering, etc.
Team leadership experience of large and complex groups employees
Including full-time, contract, and vendor resources.
Bachelor's degree is preferred, but not a must
Concentration in computer science is preferred but not a must.
