Special Chem produces fluor and rare-earth formulations for automotive, semi-conductor, and lighting applications. Performs analytical testing as assigned by Quality Manager or designate, in support of all products, Technical Services and others.
Is able to acquire, collate, disseminate and retrieve analytical data.
Exercises daily care and routine maintenance of laboratory equipment.
Supports Statistical Process Control (SPC) program and other statistical programs as needed.
Maintains laboratory and Lab procedures in compliance with quality certification requirements.
Serves as backup for other Laboratory personnel.
Responsible for Lab housekeeping.
Supports the site in any Quality, HSE or regulatory Audits by providing all necessary information verbal or written as needed.
Performs any other activities/functions defined by the Quality Assurance Manager or designee.
Bachelor of Science in Chemistry required
0-3 years of experience in related field
Proficiency in Excel required
Experience with SAP preferred
Experience with SPC software preferred
Experience with lab equipment and instrumentation preferred (Including ICP-MS, IC, and Ryon Particle Counter, etc.)
Must exhibit good written and verbal communication skills
Must exhibit good interpersonal skills, has ability to work collaboratively
