Production Quality Technician (Finance)



What We Are Looking For

In this role, you will support the Quality Engineering Team by performing visual, mechanical, functional, and dimensional inspections on diverse medical devices using specialized test equipment. You will conduct timely quality reviews of device history records to ensure proper batch disposition and release. As a reviewer and approver for products and documentation in our medical device manufacturing environment, you'll ensure compliance with customer specifications and regulatory requirements. Onsite

This role has an onsite work schedule requiring the person to be in the onsite location 5 days a week.

What You Will Do

  • Perform inspection tasks involving the use of a wide variety of test instruments and equipment to measure the values and record functional operation of components.
  • Determine acceptability and recommend disposition of defective items in accordance with established procedures.
  • Verify sample compliance to blueprints/drawings and material specifications.
  • Generate Non-conformance Reports for submitted product found out of specification.
  • Communicates with quality and development engineers concerning product and documentation defects.
  • Utilize shop math techniques (addition, subtraction, multiplication, & division), dexterity and mechanical aptitude to operate precision equipment.
  • Complete tasks accurately and on-time, paying close attention to detail.
  • Review batch documentation for accuracy and completeness according to cGMP's to ensure timely release of batches.
  • Resolve documentation discrepancies and issues with manufacturing/operations personnel in a timely manner to allow for product release.
  • Responsible for final batch disposition, certificate of compliance and/or analysis, based on review of all associated documentation.
  • Proactively work to ensure schedules are maintained.
  • Build quality into all aspect of the material release process by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements
  • Participate in continuous learning and problem solving.
What You Will Bring

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associate Degree or vocational tech certificate preferred.
  • Proficiency with precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, optical comparators, and programmable equipment (Keyence, OGP, Vision System & 3D Scanners).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings specifications, and First Article Inspection (FAI) documentation.
  • GD&T experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel software applications.
  • Strong capability to manage multiple tasks with competing priorities while maintaining accuracy.
  • Experience inspecting and measuring parts of various sizes and complexity.
  • Experience identifying inefficiencies and suggesting practical adjustments to manufacturing processes.
  • Confidence in gathering data, generating reports, and presenting findings to colleagues at all levels.
  • This position serves the Production Quality Group, which includes the need to work on export controlled products from aerospace and defense customers.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience in production, inspection, documentation, manufacturing, development, GMP and 5S/6S environments highly preferred.
