Customer Business Manager (Sales)

Responsible for achieving National Account objectives, of assigned brands, through analytics and direct sales functions.  Responsible for the development and execution of national sales programs and objectives and the implementation of B&G corporate sales initiatives on assigned tier two and three brands.  Support and provide guidance to Sam's club co-managed Customer Inventory Analyst on new and existing item forecasts and supply chain issues relating to this customer.  Manage customer accrual funds to support promotional activity used in building sales.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve assigned quarterly and annual sales quotas for National Account on assigned brands
  • Manage Sales of assigned brands at National Account
  • Provide direction and collaborate with the Category Analytics team to build Line Reviews
  • Build relationships with Buying Staff for assigned brands
  • Make all headquarter calls with Director
  • Work with Director and support team to build quarterly and annual business plans
  • Achieve sales objectives, with appropriate profit contribution
  • Analytics – POS Data and Nielsen REM Data to manage day to day business and prepare for Category Line Reviews
  • Identify Opportunities for Gap Fill and Potential Losses
  • Analyze WM Scorecards Monthly for Reporting to Buyers and B&G Executive Team
  • Evaluate current items and competitive items for potential business opportunities
  • Collaborate with Customer Inventory Analyst and corporate teams on production forecasting of assigned brands
  • Evaluate competitive products, pricing, promotions and sales strategies at National Account
  • Develop recommendations for displays and other promotional activities to effectively optimize sales growth, using available POS, syndicated and consumer insights data
  • Manage customer accrual funds and determine most effective way to support the business, via features, demos, ISB's and other promotional vehicles available
  • Provide guidance to the retail broker team in determining monthly objectives and assist direct in overall management of the broker team
  • Interface with the B&G Marketing staff to ensure maximum business opportunities with National Account.  Assist in National Account targeted media campaigns and promotions.  Execute new product initiatives.
  • Develop and submit monthly business recap on assigned brands to the EVP of Sales
  • Solicitation of new business

  • High degree of organizational and problem solving skills

Experience, Skills, Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience on a Sam's Club/Walmart team in sales or analytics
  • Must have good Retail Link skills
  • Must have a good understanding of syndicated data information sources ie., AC Nielsen or IRI
  • Understanding of customer's co-managed replenishment system
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in computer business programs – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Nielsen, Retail Link and Shiloh
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Administrative, organizational and communication skills
