Social Media Manager (Marketing)
The ideal candidate has professional experience creating and curating quality content for all major social channels, identifying and developing influencer and partner relationships, and a record of working solo and with others to conceive, create, and execute highly engaging brand appropriate campaigns. We will be counting on the candidate to work closely with agencies, other partners, and internal team members to create and execute strategic campaigns and oversee everyday social media responsibilities. COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
• Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience managing social media campaigns and tools with some public relations and/or corporate communications responsibility
• Solid grasp of social media and influencer marketing
• Strong social media footprint
• Acute knowledge of emerging social media trends and technologies
• Demonstrated ability to tailor strategy and create content for Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube
• Highly creative and effective at creating and curating stylish native social media content targeted for the aspirational consumer
• Effective project manager, detailed-oriented, highly organized with the ability to manage multiple project deadlines efficiently
• Superior verbal and written communication skills
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced business environment while working effectively and collaboratively with team members
• Team player: helps on ad hoc projects, with a willingness to experiment and the ability to deal with uncertainty
• Demonstrated ability to deal with crisis communications and good judgement in problem-solving
• Energized by interaction with consumer audience
• A demonstrated interest in gardening, landscaping, horticulture, lifestyle/design
• A gardener's general knowledge of plants, appropriate plant uses, and measures of plant quality
• Excellent research skills and curiosity to learn about plants
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree with a major or concentration in journalism/business/marketing, or relevant experience
• Professional Social Media, Public relations, Marketing, Sales, or Community Management experience
• Basic Photoshop, Illustrator skills
• Knowledge of Google Analytics, Hootsuite, and other monitoring and measuring tools
• Experience measuring, analyzing, and presenting social media campaign results: what worked, what did not, and what to change next time
• Great people skills: experience working with various cross-functional groups, internal and external
Preferred: At least 1-3 years' experience with a design/home/garden brand
