Experienced CAD Designer - Austin Texas (Architecture)
Ardurra is seeking an experienced CAD Designer to join our Austin, TX team.
Primary Function:
Candidate would use CAD equipment/software to provide support to engineers by preparing Civil and mechanical exhibits for reports and drawings for construction. Specific drawing types would include routine site plans, plan layouts, section views, plan and profiles, supporting details, mechanical piping and assemblies, sketches, and schematic diagrams. Project types for which drawings would be developed include utilities construction (primarily water, wastewater, and reclaimed water) associated with water and wastewater and municipal projects, civil/structural/mechanical improvements to treatment facilities or industrial projects, etc. Details to include all views and dimensions necessary for construction.
Primary Duties:
This position will work as a member of our Water and Public Works practices that will primarily work in the office compiling survey data, performing calculations, preparing plan drawings, base maps, and site plans using AutoCAD.
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Experience with topographic surveying including data collection and
processing, and map preparation.
- Ability to follow basic CAD standards and learn in-house standards.
- Ability to draw plans efficiently and accurately using AutoCAD Civil 3D
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
- Must be highly organized, self-motivated, and meticulous with details
Typically requires 8-10 years design experience. Incumbent must demonstrate a sound understanding of design concepts with minimal engineering input and a proficiency in using CADD/drafting software for difficult design assignments and must be able to resolve day-to-day project-related employee problems.
