Infectious Disease Testing Counselor (Finance)
Position Summary
The Infectious Disease Testing Counselor will provide behavioral risk assessment, referrals, HIV/Viral Hepatitis/STD prevention and education, and confidential HIV/Hepatitis C Antibody Testing and STD Testing to individuals at increased risk for HIV/Viral Hepatitis/STDs in community settings and other venues. This position serves a multi-county region and the hours for this position are dependent on funding.
Education and Experience
Bachelors Degree in a Human Services related field from a college/university accredited by the US Department of Education required; equivalent HIV-related work experience may be considered with approval from funding sourceMust have knowledge of and ability to relate to community resources in order to best serve clients

Background Checks

Vaccinations
For those employees who have direct patient contact, it is recommended by the CDC that a record of immunizations be documented and retained in a health personnel file. Written documentation (vaccine record) or titres (blood testing) may be needed to determine immunization status.
