General Responsibilities:
The EHR Applications Specialist will join the dynamic and growing Health Informatics
team where they will be responsible for supporting the EHR system (eClinicalWorks).
Daily responsibilities will include:
*Managing internal help desk tickets related the eClinicalWorks application and
delivering support to end users.
*Managing eClinicalWorks user accounts
*Supporting eClinicalWorks application functions
*Interacting with EHR vendor for advanced troubleshooting as well as planning of
maintenance tasks
*Responsible for ensuring a consistent change management process is followed
with regards to the EHR system, as well as ownership of the change management
process for the EHR system
*Collaborate with internal users and external partners to drive issues to
resolution

Confidentiality of Information:
Access to confidential information through patient charts and financial information, and appropriate HR information.
Significant Job Functions:
Support aspects of EHR applications, with a main focus of managing help desk requests to completion.
Work with HR and IT to manage new, updated, and termed user accounts, securities,
and settings.
Analyzes customer support issues to identify application and system problems and possible solutions in a timely and accurate manner.
Ability to conduct research into software functionality and recommend configuration
ideas.
Interact with IT and EHR vendor for advanced troubleshooting as well as planning of
maintenance tasks. Some after-hours work required.
Ability to track and follow up on outstanding software issues with EHR vendor.
Participates in downtime, communication and recovery process activities for application environments, including participation in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
Work collaboratively with the HIT department to research, test, and install new releases of EHR software. Some after-hours work required.
Proactively maintain knowledge and contact base in EHR software/applications through attendance of seminars, in-services, and other training opportunities.
Facilitate training related to appropriate use of the application, new software features, and enhancements.
Assist in managing patient lists and EHR libraries, and other components of a project plan to ensure fulfilled of project deliverables.
Manages ongoing database issues to maintain system integrity.
Maintain internal EHR Thundersite.
Perform continuous quality assurance activities as assigned.
