Responsibilities
- Design and test acoustic solution for Collaboration devices used in conference rooms
- Speaker enclosure design
- Microphone acoustic design incorporated into products
- Work in collaboration with ME, HW, Algorithm, DSP, Product management teams to achieve optimized solution
- Build prototypes to evaluate performance and testing
- Develop Mechanical Design solution using CAD and other analytical tools
- Mechanical Design, Verify and Validate for high quality audio products for mass production.
- Perform tolerance analysis to ensure proper fit and function
- Participate in competitive product analysis and benchmarking
- Research and evaluate new technologies related to Unified Communication systems
- Minimum Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering / Acoustic Engineering
- Minimum 4 years of working experience focused in acoustic engineering
- Prior experience in enclosure design for an acoustic system is a plus
- Experience in designing injection molded, Diecast, sheet metal parts for mass production
- 3D CAD experience (Creo preferred) required.
- Knowledge of GD&T, FMEA, DFX to develop robust design
- Ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
