Prudential Select Strategies is a registered investment advisor that manages portfolios of alternative assets and provides external manager advisory services. Prudential Select Strategies managed over $15 billion as of December 31, 2021, comprised of private equity, real estate and hedge funds.
Prudential Select Strategies is seeking an experienced operational due diligence professional to support the assessment of asset manager's business and operational risks across a range of strategies in both alternative and traditional investment strategies. The position reports to the Head of Operational Due Diligence. The candidate will be expected to:
Position Description:
- Review and assess the operations, internal controls and platform-specific risks of traditional and alternative investment managers.
- Review managers' documentation, including but not limited to, offering memorandums, financial statements, regulatory filings, marketing materials, due diligence questionnaires, valuation policies and compliance policies and procedures.
- Document operational due diligence findings and recommendations, as well as activities performed to support conclusions.
- Effectively communicate summary conclusions to the investment committee.
- Conduct periodic reviews of existing investment managers.
- Work closely with the Prudential Select Strategies investment, risk, compliance, performance & analytics, and operations teams.
Qualifications
- Minimum two years of experience; alternative assets experience preferred.
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in finance or accounting; CFA and/or CAIA designation a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent interpersonal and oral / written communication skills.
- Familiarity with various global regulatory and compliance rules and regulations a plus.
