Rockies Completion Manager - US Onshore Drilling & Completions (Manufacturing)
Job Summary
This position is as a member of Anadarko's US Onshore Drilling & Completions Team. This role will manage all aspects of completions engineering and execution for the Rockies region including active appraisal and development activity in the DJ and Powder River Basins. Position will be Denver-based.
Qualifications
10 + years of relevant engineering and industry experience preferred, preferably with 5+ years of experience in unconventional, tight gas, shales, and fractured-reservoir formations to include horizontal completions and fracturing experience.
Onsite fracturing operations background is preferred, including experience with onsite fracturing supervision both inside and outside of the frac van.
Experience in rig workover, coiled tubing, and wireline operations is preferred.
This position requires strong interpersonal and communication skills to be able to effectively work with other discipline managers and manage a diverse team of engineers and field staff to plan and execute complex horizontal completions.
Strong computer skills will be needed including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Fracture Modeling Software, Open Wells, and Spot Fire are a plus.
Candidate must be action-oriented, able to lead multidisciplinary projects, including data management and geoscience personnel as appropriate, to evaluate complex operational challenges, identify potential issues, and develop/implement strategies ensuring minimal downtime, economic viability and delivery of anticipated production volumes.
Able to function as a technical leader within the business unit, relied upon by colleagues, management, and other departments.
"Big picture"-minded with the ability to build and leverage influence to advocate for the best solution for Anadarko (not just Completions) as a member of the Rockies and US Onshore Drilling & Completions leadership teams.
Ability to win with people; must be a great manager of his/her team and the ability to win over the field personnel.
Responsibilities
Commitment to being a leader in safety, environmental protection, and health are required.
Primary job responsibility will include managing a team of technical professionals who prepare stimulation job designs and procedures for stimulation, workover, well prep, coiled tubing and rig workover, organize the logistics around those jobs, and ensuring the execution is accomplished as desired.
Emphasis will be placed on evaluating data, optimizing well performance, cost management, and implementing new technologies to bring the greatest value to the corporation.
Guides and/or mentors less experienced supervisors.
There is a strong focus on interdisciplinary teamwork, both in Denver and in the field.
Education
B.S. or M.S. in Engineering.
Certifications / License
Valid driver's license with no restrictions that would prohibit driving a vehicle is required.
Relocation
This position may be eligible for relocation.
Travel Requirements
The percentage of travel required for this position is 15 - 35%.
Work Schedule
This position is eligible for the 5/40 or 9/80 work schedule.
