IT Network Administrator - Sperry (Information Technology)
Primary Function
This position is responsible for IT support for the plant and reports directly to the Plant Administrative Manager. It is essential for this position to develop a solid working relationship with the plant's Regional IT Lead.
Basic Requirements
Must possess the skills necessary to establish a vision, set priorities, make deadlines, follow up, and track progress of projects and daily tasks
Must be personable and able to verbally communicate to plant management, corporate and regional IT as well as various levels of end user knowledge
Must maintain all network and computer equipment to provide high system availability
Must maintain and implement all mandated system security solutions to protect the plant network and intellectual property
Must treat colleagues with dignity and respect, promote an environment of teamwork and communication, maintain housekeeping and 5S standards in areas your responsible for, and follow all safety rules and regulations set forth in the plant safety rulebook
Job Requirements
Effectively direct plant computer operations, including computer hardware, software, network, and telephone support providing all basic technical support to plant personnel
Responsible for local implementation of IT initiatives under guidance of the Regional IT Lead
Responsible for maintenance and troubleshooting the plant telephone system and audio-visual software applications
Responsible for maintenance and support of plant network ensuring the network is always available and running
Responsible for maintenance and ownership of current applications, programs, and licenses
Utilize the help desk software to log, assign, and respond to service tickets
Be available for after hours support in the event of an outage that negatively impacts production
Procure necessary computer and network related equipment while remaining within set budgets
Adhere to established standards for network systems and all data security policies
Work with Regional IT Lead to resolve any escalated issues
Train plant personnel in use of network hardware and software resources
Qualifications
Proficient hardware and software skills
Proficient network administration skills
Thorough understanding of Microsoft Office applications
Ability to utilize timely communication, collaboration, and teamwork both within the department and cross-functionally to ensure task completion and limit interruptions to network
