Engineer - Digital Factory Systems (Finance)

We are looking to grow our team with the addition of a Senior Engineer in our Digital Factory Systems Department. This role is responsible for translating the manufacturing needs of a highly automated, leading edge microelectronics factory into functional solution designs and driving the development, testing, debugging, & deployment of those solutions into MSEI's digital factory landscape. This role will closely collaborate with factory software development, manufacturing, engineering, supply chain, quality, and IT groups. The digital factory landscape is highly integrated and includes ERP, MES, and equipment software integration.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for advanced modeling in ERP & MES systems.
  • Identify & document digital factory solutions, includes business process mapping.
  • Define, document, and coordinate verification & validation testing.
  • Support definition & execution of solution deployment/cutover plan.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot digital factory issues.
  • Define business processes/procedures for utilization of digital factory systems.
  • Drive & manage cross functional projects to use & expand digital factory system solutions - including MES, ERP, Business Objects, Low/Code No-Code Application Development, etc.
  • Other duties may be assigned at the discretion of the manager.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelors Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Management Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other related engineering or science discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years demonstrated success & experience working in integrated digital factory systems environment with MES and ERP.
  • Experience with manufacturing process modeling and related master and transaction data.
  • Experience driving projects or initiatives to completion.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems in a digital factory landscape.
  • Excellent people & communication skills (written and verbal), quick learner with strong initiative.

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • Experience with Siemens Opcenter
  • Experience in SAP ERP modules PP, MM, QM, PM
  • Database query / SQL knowledge.
  • Experience with 24x7 highly automated manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working in global business landscape.
  • Experience with software test automation tools.
  • Experience with factory capacity planning, simulation, or scheduling tools.
  • Experience with medical device manufacturing
  • Experience integrating and automating manufacturing & test equipment with MES.
  • Experience with software verification / validation.
