Deposit Services Representative I (Administrative)
As a Deposit Services Representative, you may look forward to:
• Providing friendly, exquisite, and accurate support to the branches daily.
• Providing confident responses to members as needed on legal orders.
• Processing in a timely, accurate and confidential manner all legal orders received daily (liens, levies, garnishments & subpoenas).
• Processing all on hold mail as needed (send to branch) and distribute to daily recipients.
• Processing deposit account charge-offs.
• Monitoring attorney accounts for overdrafts and reporting as needed.
• Assisting with maintaining Deposit Escrow accounts (reviewing agreements, maintaining documents, and processing disbursements).
• Reviewing and assisting with clearing stale dated bank issued checks.
• Providing support and back-up to other functions within the department such as Returned Deposited Items, NSF Processing, Stop Payments, Computer Room Rejects, IOT Reconcilements, Deposit fee refunds, ODP fee processing, un-posted, collections, adjustments, safe box processing, court account processing, error correction fees, large returns & reconcilements.
• Handling all other duties assigned.
• Obeying all applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
You are a person that has (required skills):
• Previous banking experience.
• Two years of Bankway experience.
• Computer skills in Word & Excel.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• A team player attitude and interacts well with others.
• Punctuality.
• The ability to perform repetitive manual functions.
• A positive attendance record.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Outstanding organizational skills.
• Enjoys very detailed research and documentation.
You'll be better prepared if you have (desired skills and competencies):
• Previous bank operations experience.
Physically you can anticipate to:
• Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word via email and verbally.
• Exert up to/carry 20 pounds of force occasionally, use your arms and legs, and sit most of the time.
• Vision, hearing, speech, and manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with fingers is required. Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and preparing documentation.
• Not be substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
