As a senior product manager, you will be responsible for supporting the technology and data solutions (TDS) strategic and marketing planning for the Smart Implant platform. This position is the liaison between the TDS organization and all business units, including R&D, upstream, and downstream marketing teams. This includes the development and execution of comprehensive strategic plans, marketing plans, programs, new product development pipelines, and portfolio roadmaps specific to Smart Implants. Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Principal Duties and Responsibilities: • Define and execute the product strategy and roadmap in support of the broader TDS ecosystem strategy: o User Research, Segmentation, Journey Mapping, and Clinical Needs Assessment o Market Research and Analysis, Product Strategy and Positioning o Product Ideation, Capability Prioritization, and Road-mapping • Evaluate the technical requirements when crafting the user journey through story mapping and creating detailed requirements through user stories and acceptance criteria. o Defining and documenting requirements for Smart Implant platform so that they fulfill the demands of a formal quality management system and are traceable across the application lifecycle o Document software architecture requirements o Initiate product development process based on roadmaps and UX designs as inputs. Must be able to decompose these into technical and architectural requirements that can be tracked through build, testing, and validation. • Work at the intersection of business, technology, and user experience design, representing the voice of the business and the end‐users throughout product development, to drive product definition into execution. o Develop clear business cases and product briefs to support the execution of products on the roadmap o Partner with development teams and users to refine product design and develop comprehensive requirements o Identify and develop clinical/marketing claims matrix o Manage scope decisions to keep product delivery on track while ensuring customers' goals are achieved. o Partner with a cross-functional team of data science, development, clinical, regulatory, quality, operations, privacy, legal, compliance, and commercial team members to deliver new products to successful global launches. • Develop customer, partner, and end-user relationships to understand their needs, gather their feedback, and ability to advocate for their point of view when they aren't present. • Provide society, trade show, and locally-hosted VIP programs support. Utilize the opportunity at these events to gain customer mindshare through promotional messaging tools and event programs. • Develop and manage relationships with physician consultants and key opinion leaders for marketing engagement opportunities • Develop and maintain product line technical expertise and contacts with key surgeons and customers of product responsibility by observing surgery, attending medical/scientific meetings, presentations, and seminars while gathering competitive information. • Coordinate with global team leaders to identify regional needs regarding Smart Implants. • Maintain a high level of collaboration with domestic and international sales leaders to drive product line market adoption. • Ensure close collaboration and teamwork with the rest of the Product Management team, actively contributing to product management best-practice across Technology and Data Solutions. Education/Experience Requirements
Education/Experience Requirements B.A./B.S in Business, Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or other relevant 4-year degrees. MBA Preferred. Minimum five (5) years of product management, product development, or relevant experience required, preferably in healthcare and/or software products and technologies Experience working with marketing concepts, portfolio strategies, product promotion, market analysis, and forecasting. Demonstrable experience throughout the product lifecycle, from ideation/conception through to pre-and post-launch execution. Hands-on experience with Agile development methods preferred Experience within commercial software product management preferred Experience in both marketing and medical device product development preferred Experience in an orthopedics market preferred.
