Radiology Clerical PACS Support | Radiology Administration | Elkhart General Hospital (Finance)
Reports to the PACS Administrator. Daily duties include support of all RIS/PACS applications ensuring timeliness of reading of all imaging procedures. Demonstrates positive, friendly and interpersonal communication skills with patients, visitors, physicians and associates.

Education and Experience
The knowledge, skills, and abilities as indicated below are normally acquired through the successful completion of a High School Diploma or equivalent. Medical Terminology completed or completed within 3 months of hire. A minimum of 1 to 2 years of job-related experience is required. Previous clerical experience is preferred. Computer software training experience required. Previous medical office experience desirable.
Knowledge & Skills
Keyboard proficient and experience with all types of office equipment.
Practices good telephone etiquette.
Familiar with EGH computer software.
High school or commercial training with classes in typing/keyboarding and English.
Ability to type, file and operate all types of office equipment and good telephone etiquette.
Must have multi-tasking abilities in a high stress environment.
Ability to read well and perform and understand detailed instructions, learns quickly, and works independently.
Will be required to become familiar with radiology exams, times required, preparations and their effects and ALL computer software in a reasonable amount of time.
Must be able to read and pronounce radiology terminology, as well as doctor's handwritten orders.
High school or commercial training in computer software.
Capable of working ALL shifts including nights and 12 hour shifts.
Frequent standing, as well as intermittent sitting and walking, with occasional lifting of boxes.
Will operate standard office equipment, including PCs, fax machine, copy machine, printers and telephone systems.
Potential eye strain from using computer screens is possible.
