Role Responsibilities
Basic Function
Design and manage large capital projects in all areas of the plant. Provide technical support to the bottling, operations and maintenance departments for improvements relating to methods and procedures. Support new product innovation, cost-out and plant productivity projects.
Execute early equipment management processes to efficiently implement projects from design phase through start up and full production to meet required budget and launch schedules.
RESPONSIBILITIES (Essential functions of the position)
Provide input for design for manufacturability by applying lean principles to process designs that are applicable to factory personnel
Be a subject matter expert for Frankfort bottling operations related to proper asset care and early equipment management of bottling changes and/or capital installations
Provide operational and maintenance support for bottling and case handling systems.
Manage multiple, concurrent projects as Technical Leader or Plant Liaison to successfully move projects through concept, design, build activation, training and as-build documentation while maintaining cost control.
Contribute to development of capital budget program, prepare capital authorization request, and administer projects for improvements in a team environment.
Analyze and prepare cost justification for projects.
Identify potential cost saving or process improving projects throughout the plant.
Act as and/or support start up manager to ensure adequate communication and training to appropriate affected plant personnel
Design and/or select equipment required for the plant.
Document equipment and procedures necessary for projects.
Find solutions to reduce bottlenecks in all plant processes.
Adheres to and promotes environmental health and safety as one of the organization's business priorities.
Promotes and adheres to ISO, HACCP and 5S standards and continuous improvement initiatives.
Seek out continuing education to stay abreast of current and future bottling and case handling engineering technologies.
Accept other duties as assigned.
