Financial Aid Administrative Assistant (Administrative)



Saint Anselm College, a private, liberal arts college in the Benedictine tradition, has an immediate opening for a Financial Aid Administrative Assistant. Reporting to the Senior Associate Director of Financial Aid, the Financial Aid Administrative Assistant is primarily responsible for customer service, and providing support to other members of the office.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • First point of contact for student and families with the Office of Financial Aid. Provides in-person, phone, and email customer service
  • Ensures all paperwork received by the office via email, US mail, and fax is sorted, scanned, imaged (when implemented) and accurately routed
  • Responsible for paying department invoices
  • Ensures office supply levels are maintained. This includes, but not limited to office stationery, printer ink and other necessary supplies.
  • Provides information, and assistance to students and families regarding available financial aid programs, such as grants, loans, scholarships, and work study opportunities.
  • Reviews and processes Financial Aid documentation in a multi system environment for incoming and continuing students
  • Maintains strict confidentiality
  • Other duties as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience:

  • Associate Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field preferred or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Previous student financial aid experience preferred, but willing to train the right candidate
  • Experienced in Microsoft Office software applications
