Manufacturing Engineer (Engineering)
The Manufacturing Engineer provides engineering support for manufacturing planning, new process development, and new product design. Also, they will assist on the shop floor with troubleshooting product and processing problems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Read and interpret drawings.
•Troubleshoot day-to-day process issues, develop solutions, and monitor improvements.
•Lead in the determination of root cause.
•Generate drawings, tool orders, and work instructions as needed to support manufacturing.
•Specify tooling and process parameters for the manufacture of products.
•Design fixtures, tools, and gauges and have them built.
•Occasional use of hand and power tools.
•Occasional travel to customer or vendor facilities or trade shows.
•Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to read and interpret drawings.
Proficient in GD&T (geometric dimensioning and tolerancing).
Ability to use standard shop floor inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, and indicator gauges. CAD drafting skills.
Experience with standard machining processes such as milling, turning and grinding.
Ability to use Microsoft Office.
Demonstrated leadership skills, including excellent communication skills.
Ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
Plastic injection molding experience helpful. Lean manufacturing experience.
Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering or technical field required and/or equivalent years of experience.
