School Age Leader (Finance)
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide leadership and demonstrate the ability to set and maintain limits forchildren using positive reinforcementProvide input and implementation toward the development of a well-roundedacademically aligned curriculumAssist Site Director/Coordinator in planning and carrying out activities duringschool vacation weeks, half days, and other days off from schoolProvide supervision to children at all times, on-site or off-site.Arrive on time and ready to engage with staff, students, and parents with nodistractions providing visual surveillance of program participantsAssist the Site Director/Coordinator in maintaining records involving attendance,sign/in-sign/out sheets, and program suppliesMaintain good public relations with parents and school personnel andunderstand that you represent the YMCA and maintain a positive disposition,demeanor and attireAttempt to answer parents concerns and make appropriate referrals to SiteDirector/CoordinatorDemonstrate flexibility in scheduling for special events and be available to workat other sites when neededReport accidents and injuries and complete incident reports immediately andturn into appropriate personnel.Work in harmony and cooperation with the staff, community partners, schoolpersonnel, participant families and members of the YMCA.Treat all children with dignity and respect

Education and/or Experience
18 years of age or older and a High school diploma or GED and formal training inchildcare. Exhibits warm and friendly personality, be sensitive to the feelings and needs of others, be able to relate well with children, and be willing to fulfillresponsibilities in accordance with program goals.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to anticipate, identify and solve practical problems and deal with a variety ofconcrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability tointerpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.

Before 1st day with children:Child Abuse PreventionMeet RI DCYF or MA OCCS requirementWithin 90 days of employment:CPR/ First Aid CertificationListen First
Must be willing to attend meetings, training and certifications to improve knowledge
and program quality.
