Service Department Supervisor (Project Management)

Job Summary: The Service Department Supervisor has daily responsibility for shop floor activity and effective use of resources. This role operates as a liaison between SDR's and shop floor ensuring work is processed based on customer needs. Responsible for coordinating daily shop work load/backlog for the Service Repair Technicians. Responsible to review warranty packet and submit to Aftermarket Engineering for technical evaluation and to approve or decline warranty, based on NORD Global Warranty Policy findings documented in SAP and QN's issued when NORD material or workmanship identified. Maintain appropriate tooling and staffing to ensure a quick turnaround of units returned for warranty evaluation, failure analysis, paid repairs, restocks and production assistance with focus on P1,P2,P3 &P4 priorities. Responsible for 5S and Kaizen continuous improvement on the shop floor. This position is to evaluate information gathered in service, providing feedback to other internal departments for continuous improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Job Requirements
Education: High School Diploma Required
Experience: Past supervisory or lead experience preferred, but not required. Previous experience working with gear products or in a general service shop environment. Experience working with Kaizen and 5S beneficial.

Physical Requirements: Ability to life 50 lbs. Ability to stand and working 8-10 hours in a service shop.
