ROLE
This role has a dedicated focus on designing, implementing, and maintaining small cell wireless facility and fiber networks that are consistent with all defined standard operating processes and procedures. This individual needs to be experienced with a mastery of designing PROW and Enterprise facilities and it requires experience in developing scopes of work, bill of materials and project expectations that offers customers an excellent value proposition.  This position is accountable for timely deliverables to internal and external customers for the Implementation and Operations tasks and budgets within the Desert Southwest District.

The position will support the Manager of Engineering and work across other design teams within the area, as well as provide support to Crown Castle cross-functional teams to improve the quality of processes, deliverables and end-to-end customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Create DAS and small cell network designs and proposals.
  • Schedule and prioritize the delivery of the contracted PROW projects.
  • Oversee internal systems and tools required for delivering on the Desert Southwest District Implementation and Operations KPIs.
  • Provide support to the District Manager and Manager of Design in partnerships with utility and municipal providers to streamline permit applications, processes, and new initiatives.
  • Provide support to the Manager of Engineering for communication with the NOC, Construction, Field Operations, and Change management teams.
  • Provide support to the Manager of Design to monitor and report Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of deliverables and supporting workflows to measure operational performance, as well as identify and assess areas of opportunity for improved process efficiencies and performance.
  • Maintain knowledge of technology in use, and/or under development for its impact or potential impact on the operational business process
  • Provide support to the Manager of Design for the assigned area(s) respective CAPEX and OPEX spend and budgets
  • Maintain quality service by understanding and enforcing organization standards

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED
Education Qualifications

  • BS/BA Degree Bachelor's Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS). Focus in civil engineering, structural engineering, mechanical engineering, or project/construction management preferred.
  • Equivalent experience in related fields such as telecommunications and construction management will be considered.
  • CAPM or PMP Certification Preferred.

 

Experience Qualifications

  • 5 years minimum of network design, scoping and/or construction management experience with preference to outside and inside plant construction. Required
  • Working knowledge of small cell design, scoping and construction standards required.
  • Working knowledge of fiber design, scoping and construction standards (aerial and underground) required.
  • Working knowledge of NESC, NEC and OSHA standards Preferred.

 
Where You Will Work
Hybrid: This role falls into our hybrid work model, which is 2-days work from home (Monday and Friday) and 3-days in the office (Tuesday through Thursday) to optimize collaboration, relationship building and key stakeholder engagement and may require some travel as needed.

Compensation
The salary range offered for this position is $93900 - $129100 annually. A candidate's offer is determined by various factors including but not limited to, depth of experience, role-related knowledge and skills, relevant education or training, internal alignment, and work location. Depending on the position offered, the compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of a discretionary annual cash bonus or commissions, and equity incentives.
