Deposit Services Representative I (Temporary Position ending December 2020) (Administrative)
As a Deposit Services Representative I (Temporary Employee opening, position ends at the end of 2020), you may look forward to:
• Handling maintenance of CD/IRA accounts, i.e. (rate changes).
• Assisting with The CDARS Program.
• Managing Tax documents.
• Reviewing deposit and suspense account reconcilement.
• Reviewing daily and monthly reports to maintain the integrity of all Time Deposits as well as
addresses.
• Reviewing all “CD Penalties refunded” & maintenance the CD/IRA account accordingly (penalty
YTD)
• Providing IRS B and C Notices.
• Working on Dormant accounts.
• Working on the Escheatment process.
• Reviewing Department Manual for updates as needed on a quarterly basis.
• Processing the annual missing TIN solicitation.
• Cross training co-workers on all related job functions.
• Handling other department duties as assigned by Department Supervisor/Manager.
• Assisting with the following as needed:
o Balance/Process CD/IRA's in process
o IRA processing and documentation
o Time Deposit Wires
o CD/IRA account research
o IRA distributions/contributions
o Process Time Deposit un-posted items
• Reviewing and mailing CD/IRA checks to members. Making appropriate general ledger entries to “DAS Checks Written”.
• Validating all bonds redeemed for proper tax reporting and documentation.
• Attending seminars/webinars for further education.
• Monitoring regulations for Money Market Exceptions.
• Monitoring regulations for Deposit Holds.
• Obeying all applicable federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) including the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
You are a person that has (required skills):
• Current/previous banking experience.
• Computer skills (Word and Excel).
• Excellent organizational skills, communication skills, and follow-up skills.
• The ability to interact well with others and possess a team player attitude.
• Strong punctuality and a positive attendance record.
• Strong telephone skills.
• Can work overtime as required.
• Exceptional attention to detail for accuracy in documentation.
You'll be better prepared if you have (desired skills and competencies):
• Knowledge of Time Deposits, Deposit Regulations, and previous bank operations experience.
Physically you can anticipate to:
• Express or exchange ideas by means of the spoken word via email and verbally.
• Exert up to/carry 15 pounds of force occasionally, use your arms and legs, and sit most of the time.
• Vision, hearing, speech, and manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items and work with fingers is required. Have close visual acuity to perform activities such as analyzing data, viewing a computer terminal, reading, and preparing documentation.
• Not be substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
