Works directly with the Site and/or Functional leadership to lead and deploy Regal's Performance Excellence program for assigned plant(s). Manages cross-functional collaboration, people development, and project execution required to progress through the 5 Star program at a large plant (generally defined by a plant headcount of more than 250 employees and/or plant revenue of more than $70M). Provides hiring, promotion and disciplinary action recommendations, as well as performance evaluation and feedback for direct reports. Typically reports to the business/functional/site manager.
Leads facilitation of site/functional implementation of Standard Process Control focused on 5Ms (Manpower, Machine, Method, Material, Measurement) with Operating System Certification as centerpiece for a large facility.
Coaches, mentors, and develops site/functional team members through training (Green Belt, Black Belt, Design for Lean Six Sigma, and Specific Expertise Topics), Kaizens, and Lend Forwards to effectively utilize performance excellence tools, methodologies and philosophies to drive performance excellence.
Works with site or functional leadership to develop overall A3 implementation plans, including current and future Value Streams, standard work, sustained stability to achieve higher levels of Operating Certification.
Drives self-directed work teams and works with Value Stream owners to achieve departmental KPI/TTI goals. Measures, tracks and communicates PE performance to plant leadership to identify plans for improvement.
Collaborates with management in selecting and prioritization of projects, leaders and champions that align with business/functional goals and strategies. Leads Black Belt improvement projects of significant, quantifiable size and scope, meeting the Regal certification guidelines.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent related experience (Preferred)
5 years related work experience
Green Belt Certification & Lean Apprentice Certification within 1 Year, Black Belt certification & Lean Practitioner within 3 years preferred
