Regional VP Operations (Project Management)



Job Responsibilities:
The Regional Vice President of Hotel Operations plays a pivotal role in driving the company's success by overseeing multiple properties within a designated region. The Regional Vice President is responsible for the overall performance, profitability, and guest satisfaction of hotels within their assigned region. This role requires strong leadership, strategic planning, and operational expertise to ensure that each property meets or exceeds company standards.
Essential Functions:
Strategic Leadership:

Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve revenue targets, profitability goals, and operational excellence across all properties.
Provide guidance and direction to Area Managers, General Managers and hotel teams, ensuring alignment with company objectives and values.
Collaborate with executive leadership to define regional goals and objectives that support overall company growth and expansion.

Operational Oversight:

Provide direction and guidance to Area Managers regarding tactical, day-to-day operations of multiple hotels, including but not limited to front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and guest services.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and financial metrics to assess operational efficiency and identify areas for improvement.
Ensure J&P best practices, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and quality control measures are in place to enhance guest experience and employee productivity.
Conduct Operational Visit Checklists to ensure compliance with polices and procedures.

Financial Management:

Collaborate with key corporate leaders (COO, VP Business Intelligence, VP Revenue Optimization, etc.) to comply with and manage annual operating budgets for each property in the region, ensuring cost control, revenue optimization, and profit maximization.
Analyze financial reports, forecasts, and market trends to make data-driven decisions and capitalize on revenue opportunities.
Collaborate with the Revenue Management and Sales Teams to drive revenue generation strategies, including pricing strategies, sales initiatives, and revenue management tactics.

Talent Development and Management:

In partnership with Human Resources Team members, recruit, train, and develop high-performing teams at all levels within the region.
Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide coaching and mentorship, and identify talent gaps for succession planning.
Foster a culture of excellence, teamwork, and accountability that recognition that enhances employee engagement and retention.

Guest Experience and Quality Assurance:

Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional guest experiences and adherence to brand standards across all properties.
Monitor guest feedback, online reviews, and guest satisfaction scores to address issues promptly and drive continuous improvement.
Implement quality assurance programs, inspections, and audits to maintain high-quality standards in all aspects of hotel operations.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's Degree in Business, Hospitality, or related field preferred.
Proven experience (10+ years) in senior leadership roles within the hospitality, restaurant, or retail industry, with a focus on operations and management. Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
High-level proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
Strategic thinker with a track record of driving results, implementing best practices, and leading teams to achieve operational excellence.
Familiarity with hotel management systems, revenue management tools, and industry trends.

Requirements:

Frequent travel required, up to 75% of the year, including extended stays at hotel locations and unanticipated travel with minimal notice.
Work schedule may vary based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and Real ID-compliant identification.
Must be able to travel by car and commercial air.
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Prolonged periods of computer use and phone-based communication.
Some lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required during travel or events.
Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor appropriate for guest and client-facing environments.
Must be able to successfully complete a criminal background check in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and company policy.
