Engineering Coordinator (Engineering)
Position Description:
The Engineering Support Coordinator will provide clerical support to the engineering team by liaising with Operations, Purchasing, and Quality. The role is a high-impact, high-visibility role well suited for an energetic, multi-tasking individual.
Position Requirements:
•Maintains engineering change notices; obtains proper signatures; enters bill of material into system; makes index cards for new drawings; makes folders for files in shop area; runs copies of prints for each department that requires a copy.
•Types and formats documents for Director of Engieering.
• Maintains engineering logbooks.
•Creates forms that are used internally; keeps a copy of each form in logbook and computer; tracks revisions; makes changes as needed.
•Participates as a member of the auditing team; observes operations in plant to ensure work is completed correctly.
•Support new product development process; moitoring, measuring.
•Create and maintain manufacturing work instructions in ERP software from templates provided by engineering.
•Create and maintain part master data in ERP software from standard forms provided by engineering.
•Compile technical data packages (combine PDFs) required for customer approval of repairs and part designs.
•Retrieve filed reports and drawings per internal request.
•Run various business system status reports to support routine management of new product development activities.
•Works closely with engineering management and program management to enable the success of programs, projects, and initiatives.
•Provides reports and presentations on the status of project milestones to customers, project team, and management.
