Service Training Instructor (Personal Services)

About the Position:
If you have the ability to support our service department by providing technical training to our employees and customers this job may be for you. Our Training Instructor, located in our Billings, MT branch, will be responsible for planning and performing technical training while ensuring strict safety standards are upheld at all times. Maintaining training records for employees and providing them with certificates upon completion. You will stay current in technical subjects through research, and attend update conferences and new product classes as needed. You will work closely with the service managers/supervisors to develop training topics and have the ability to travel throughout our territory to conduct classes.
Objective: to support our service departments by providing Caterpillar technical training for the development of our Employees and Customers.
Main Responsibilities include:
Develop/plan and provide technical classroom training; Support/Promote Company Safety Standards at all times; Maintain training records for Employees; Continuing Education on current technical subjects through research (self-study and Instructor-led); Communicate with service managers/supervisors to determine training needs; Attend CAT Training to obtain CAT Training Instructor Certification; Willingness/ability to travel/lodge to local and remote locations in multiple states to perform or attend training sessions.
Qualifications & Experience Needed:
Must have a valid driver's license, high school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a dealer service department or 2-4 year technical degree. Must be PC literate including DBS, IAS, SIS, CSSI, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Familiarity with our products sold and serviced. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, self-motivated, and the ability to assess potential training needs.
