We are looking to hire a Microelectronics Hardware Development Engineer to join our elite Microelectronics group at our US HQ. The ideal candidate will be a key member of the development team, responsible for leading and coordinating a wide range of deliverables in the design and development of microelectronics used in class 3 medical devices. The role requires a broad set of hardware based technical skills which enables oversight and implementation of design and analysis required to drive development activities. With a solid technical background, the Engineer contributes their technical expertise within a cross functional development team to deliver medical implantable microelectronic products and the associated manufacturing systems.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop hardware tools for functionality analysis of new products during development and initial production ramp with an end goal of a fully automated process.
  • Lead cross functional teams in root cause failure analysis efforts throughout the development process and serial production.
  • Lead improvements to MSEI's digital and physical factory tools to deploy the latest technology ensuring highest quality standards continue to be met.
  • Clearly communicate technical content including presenting challenges and associated data analysis to management.
  • Work across organization boundaries to facilitate completion of development deliverables.
  • Develop and release automated fault isolation test hardware and software.
  • Lead planning and implementation of hardware and software required for module verification testing.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 2+ years experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing deliverables from initial design concept through delivery to serial production.
  • Proven Analog/Digital/RF/High Voltage Circuit Analysis Hardware Skills.
  • Ability to develop and debug C, C# and Vee-Pro code.
  • Ability to communicate technical issues clearly and effectively and execute assignments with little supervision and actively participate in a collaborative team environment.
  • Excellent organization, verbal and written communication skills, the ability to work effectively with all levels of the Company.

ADDITIONAL PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
  • Direct, hands-on technical experience in the medical device industry or comparable highly regulated industry
  • Knowledge of statistical process control, design of experiments and design for manufacturability.
  • Simulation using SPICE and ANSYS
