Sr. Project Controller (Project Management)
IBA is currently recruiting for a Sr. Project Controller to support the Department of Defense in Frederick, MD. The Sr. Project Controller will provide senior-level, high-quality planning, technical, analytical, and program management expertise in DoD and Federal Medical Supply Chain management to support overarching strategic adoption of Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) and its successor Logicole for the Veterans Heath Agency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide transformational leadership to cultivate participation, empower team members, and work directly alongside organizational members at every level.
Provide program management and medical logistics expertise in the areas of detailed risk and schedule management, business process re-engineering, technical requirements elaboration and validation, cost effectiveness and efficiency, optimized sourcing and standardization, integrated end-to-end supply chain, business intelligence, and process/data improvements.
Lead cross functional and cross agency teams to produce and execute actionable plans for full use of DMLSS and LogiCole in support of Department of Veterans Affairs Supply Chain and Logistics transformation activities.
Work directly with technical experts, project leads and project managers in planning, creating, and managing project schedules and risks.
Directly manage project milestones, deliverables, internal and external tasks.
Serve as a direct support resource for key senior leaders on business process improvements, requirements documentation, and enabling IT capabilities.
Support various strategic and business process improvement efforts, including project coordination, analytical, and documentation needs.
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
Ability to cultivate participation, empower team members, and work directly alongside organizational members at every level across internal and external teams.
Knowledge of project management process inputs, tools and techniques, and outputs.
Ability to interface effectively with executive-level government and contractor personnel.
Ability to create simple to complex project plans, timelines and work breakdown structures using project management tools such as MS Project.
Excellent organizational and both oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work well with a team, execute tasks and projects in a timely and accurate manner.
Ability to write and present effective project materials, presentations, status-reporting, etc.
Ability to perform essential duties and responsibilities.
Preferred Requirements:
PMP Certification
8 + years of experience as a senior-level leader in various aspects of Project Management with a focus in one or more of the following areas: medical logistics supply chain, equipment technology, readiness, medical treatment facility logistics management, or information technology.
Knowledge of Defense Medical Logistics and/or the Veterans Administration (VA).
Education, Certifications and Work Experience Requirements:
Master's degree and/or work experience required by contract labor category.
Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience. Experience shall demonstrate the ability to perform functional requirements and include a broad range of assignments performing analytical and/or technical requirements and analysis.
Security Clearance:
Existing IT/ADP II Public Trust clearance level and above or ability to obtain an IT/ADP II Public Trust.
