RN Supervisor, Ambulatory Neurology (Finance)
The Nurse Supervisor Ambulatory oversees the day-to-day clinical operation of designated work unit(s) providing guidance and support to the clinical and support staff to ensure that quality patient or client focused care is delivered. When appropriate, the Nurse Supervisor provides professional patient care utilizing the nursing process in collaboration with the patient, families and interdisciplinary healthcare team to meet educational and discharge needs. This individual may assist in high-risk procedures, surgery and/ or provide patient education in specific units. The Supervisor assure that appropriate care is delivered. In addition, the Supervisor supports leadership through activities that includes development of staff, teaching, community involvement, and participation in committees and research. The American Nurses Association Nursing (ANA) Nursing Scope and Standards of Practice, the AAACN Ambulatory Care Nursing Administration and Practice Standards, and the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses provides the basis for care.
Graduate of an accredited baccalaureate nursing program. Masters preferred.
Minimum 2 years of clinical experience required.
Previous experience working with patients with neurological conditions strongly preferred.
Previous experience working in the ambulatory outpatient clinic setting preferred.
Previous supervisory or charge nurse experience preferred.
Demonstrated leadership ability and interpersonal effectiveness required.
Strong communication, interpersonal, critical thinking, problem solving, and computer skills required.
Management experience preferred.
Internal applicants are required to attach their three most recent performance appraisals.
License or certification
Current Arizona registered nurse licensure required.
Basic Life Support certification is required upon hire and must be valid for 90 days or greater from start date. Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.
Additional specialty certification/training as required by the work area.
Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended. The minimum pay rate is $38.69 per hour.
