Here's What You'll Get To Do

This position is responsible for operating the CNC machine, making machine adjustments, fabricating materials per job, and conducting quality inspections to ensure materials are fabricated correctly as well as other duties which may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Follow all safety policies & procedures as a prerequisite of employment
  • Able to read, write, and communicate effectively with coworkers and management
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Able to perform job role with minimum supervision
  • Must be a team player, willing and able to be cross trained to work in other areas as required
  • Basic computer skills required
  • Able to conduct simple math and perform calculations
  • Prior Sheetmetal Shear experience preferred
  • Able to make machine adjustments, change tools, and conduct minor maintenance on Brake Shear
  • Able to assist maintenance technicians with repairs as needed
  • Able to verify fabricated materials to fabrication drawings
  • Able to read a tape measure to the 32nd
  • Able to properly identify material
  • Able to stack and down stack material
  • Able to maneuver carts, dollies, and gurneys
  • Able to read, understand, and interpret schedule, jobs, and material request
  • Able to read, understand, and interpret fabrication drawings, die drawings, and shop drawings
  • Able to conduct and sustain 5S assignments for CNC machine and surrounding work area
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and work under time constraints
  • Welding Experience is a plus!
  • Must be able to work 2nd shift, with periods of required overtime
  • Must have regular and predictable attendance

 

Physical Requirements

  • Stand and walk for entire shift on concrete, up to 8-10 hours
  • Grasp, squeeze, hold/handle thin to thick metal, hand/power tools, small parts, and large items
  • Reach, handle, grasp & turn and lift using upper body while moving
  • Lift, push, pull or move up to 50 lbs. individually or up to 75 lbs. with a partner
  • Visual acuity to inspect material for various quality flaws and surface discrepancies
  • Properly wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
  • Able to work in direct temperatures consistent with same outdoor climate conditions of the region (heat, humidity, cold,

etc.)
