Senior Associate (Finance)
Description:
Responsible for working on specific tax technical subjects as well as building and maintaining day-to-day client service relationships. Conduct research and analysis on a wide range of tax issues related to business transactions and tax implications of financing techniques for a variety of entities and their affiliates. Analyze and interpret financial accounting and tax records, report on the findings, and develop customized solutions. Prepare income and franchise tax returns, extensions and quarterly estimate tax payments for corporations, partnerships and high net-worth individuals. Assist clients with various aspects of quarterly and annual income tax provisions calculations under ASC 740 - Accounting for Income Taxes. Conduct tax accounting analysis and provide tax provision procedures and disclosures. Provide guidance and consulting of applicable tax law to clients with tax planning needs. Review the tax provision process to improve efficiency, accuracy and enhance risk assurance. Build provision models related to transaction analysis into Excel models. Prepare and monitor project budgets, timelines, kick-off meetings, and deliverable calls. Interface with client personnel to obtain information and deliver a high-quality project on time and on budget, explaining key technical positions.
Requirements:
Master's degree in Taxation or Accounting.
Minimum 2 years of tax compliance and consulting experience. Must have experience working with GoSystem RS, OneSource Income Tax and OneSource Tax Provision (OTP) software in providing separate and consolidated federal and state income tax return preparation and tax provision preparation. Must have experience performing legal research; preparing memoranda on legislative and regulatory tax law developments; and assisting clients in researching, developing and implementing their strategic tax planning objectives around business structure and process improvement. Must have CPA designation.
