The primary purpose of this position is to lead and assist Supervisors, Group Leaders and production personnel in the fabrication, assembly, packaging and/or inspection of medical devices. Manage the day-to-day operations and provides leadership direction to the functional team.
Responsibilities
- Work with employees - looking for ways to help them, positively communicate Cook standards for quality and integrity, while you are spending time working with operational employees at least 20% of the time.
- Review the past due, backorder / in danger report and communicate the actions for processing to ensure on time delivery to the DC and customer.
- Ensure compliance to quality system policies and department procedures.
- Monitor the departmental efficiencies and workload; work with thesupervisors and group leaders to balance headcount to attain the deliveryand 80% efficiency goals.
- Work with the support area groups on new product launches, CAPA's and improvement projects.
- Focus on Quality and perform investigations and communicate quality orworkflow issues. Perform other duties and special projects as necessary.

- Make recommendations for staff and equipment and have significant input into personnel matters
Qualifications
- Experience in reading/writing/understanding product documentation and specification drawings in English.
- Experience in project management and managing multiple activities.
Physical Requirements:
- Majority of the day is spent in an office environment
- Ability to perform the essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Ability to occasionally lift approximately 5-50 lbs.
- Good manual dexterity.
