We are seeking a highly motivated scientist with an established track record in molecular biology and cell engineering to join our multidisciplinary research team in the department of Protein, Cellular, and Structural Sciences within the Medicinal Science & Technology division of R&D at GSK's facility in Upper Providence, Pennsylvania. The primary responsibility of the department is to design, generate and validate biological reagents for discovery activities across all of GSK's therapeutic modalities. The department also provides the structural and mechanistic understanding of drug target, molecular recognition and mode of action to deliver the best molecule.
The successful candidate will be accountable for the conceptual design and development of disease-relevant reagents at an industrial scale, to support GSK's pre-clinical drug discovery programs. This is a laboratory position where the successful candidate will also be responsible for the production of recombinant proteins and industrialization of disease relevant assays developed by GSK's Functional Genomics Department. This scientist will have the opportunity to work on targets in multiple therapeutic areas. Title and salary will be commensurate with experience.
