Job Summary:

In this position, you will be part of the Supply Chain Team. You will be responsible for procurement activities of electronics components, metals, fabricated parts and assemblies to support manufacturing of UPS. You will manage the materials requirements planning and supplier relationship. Ensure materials are delivered on time and to schedule within the guidelines of the company supply chain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily purchasing of materials and goods to support manufacturing to ensure the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary to keep production up and running
  • Track trend information, monitor shipping volumes, and review patterns in ordering and receiving goods
  • Analyze material exception reports from MRP and material requests to determine efficient quantities to purchase:
  • Coordinate with other departments (engineering, sales administration, purchasing, manufacturing, etc.) to maintain material pipeline and schedules
  • Actively participate and drive efforts to lower inventory and reduce material costs
  • Maintain drop shipments, orders, and schedules and monitor the closing of purchase orders when product(s) are received
  • Work closely with suppliers to identify and implement cost reductions in materials
  • Ensure validation of purchase orders and requisitions in M3. Update them with the latest information and revised delivery dates. Engage with the relevant managers for updates.
  • Collaborate with management in the evaluation of vendors. Audit vendor reliability, product, and performance, and assist in the development of new supply sources where vendors and suppliers are no longer competitive
  • Support planner(s) on critical material need dates, expedite orders as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in Purchasing and Material Planning environment
  • Minimum two (2) years of experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems or related field
  • Due to the nature of IntelliPower's programs and products, applicants must have the legal right to work in the U.S. and additionally must be legally authorized to access export-controlled information and source code.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) or Work Equivalent, Field of Study: Supply chain management, Distribution Management, Business Administration, Finance/Accounting, or similar field
  • APICS or similar industry certification: CPIM, CSCP or SCOR-P a plus
  • General Windows and Microsoft Office skills. Above average skills with MS Excel
  • Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others
  • Ability to communicate in writing clearly and concisely
  • Interpersonal skills -- the ability of the individual to develop and maintain relationships with others
  • Negotiation skills -- the ability of the individual to reach outcomes that gain the support and acceptance of all parties
  • Ability to find a solution for or to deal proactively with work-related problems
  • Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks under stressful situations

Location Information:

This position is located in sunny Orange, California. Orange combines historical charm with modern living. From the center of town, referred to as the Plaza, to our top-rated hospitals, schools, and parks, we're a "Slice of Old Towne Charm." The City of Orange includes plenty of natural, undeveloped areas that offer outdoor enthusiasts the opportunity to get outside and explore nature in Orange County with trails for hikers, equestrians, and mountain bikers of all skill levels.

The annual pay range for this position generally ranges between $70,000 - $85,000. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. In addition, AMETEK provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee assistance program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays, and paid time off.

Compensation

Salary Minimum: $70,000
