Shipping/Receiving Supervisor (Finance)
AMETEK, Inc. is seeking an action-oriented candidate to fulfill the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor position at their Lancaster Plant. Reporting to the Production Control Manager, this individual is responsible for overseeing the flow of material, use of equipment, and personnel to keep product moving in and out of the facility.
Job Description:
1. Manage the safety performance to achieve the divisions best in class practices, including 0 recordable injuries.
2. Direct and manage activities involving the receipt, inspection, and shipment of material to and from the facility while adhering to company policies and procedures.
3. Ensure the most economical transportation rates by fostering freight company relations and negotiating prices.
4. Maintain accurate inventory records by entering transactions in ERP system daily, receiving interim parts and finished goods for storage, and performing physical inventory of cycle counts.
5. Coordinate continuous improvement activities to ensure efficiency in maintaining operations, safety, product flow, and product inspection.
6. Maintain adherence to the HPM Quality System by ensuring compliance with system parameters and assisting in resolution of corrective/preventative action requests.
7. Assist in developing proper documentation for standard operating procedures, related work instructions, and applicable training programs.
8. Demonstrate excellent communication skills and motivates others to share information and data with appropriate personnel including management team.
9. Participate in interviewing, hiring, and the training of employees.
10. Complete performance reviews and other supervisory duties in a timely manner.
Position Requirements:
1. High School diploma required, associates or bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
2. Demonstrated knowledge or experience with manufacturing, material control, and quality standards.
3. Experience with metal alloys or material science preferred.
3. Must be willing to come to work outside normal schedule and be flexible with scheduled work hours.
4. Experience working in a union shop environment is preferred.
5. Demonstrated skills with PC office applications such as MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
