Millwright (Finance)
A Millwright performs a variety of activities required to move, install machinery and associated equipment in and around the facility utilizing proper lagging, leveling and rigging. Millwrights fabricate and erect structures of varying types, sizes and shapes. They may also maintain mechanical portions of machines including, but not limited to, motors, pumps, spindles, belts, bearings, gear boxes, sheaves, ball screws, turrets and drive shafts.
The annual base pay for this position is $37/hour. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. This position will start out on 1st shift but is potentially a 2nd or 3rd shift role.

- Has Journeyman card or 5 years of equivalent experience performing millwright activities/machine maintenance
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Basic reading and writing skills
- Math skills that demonstrate a basic understanding of arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and trigonometry
- Due to Federal regulations, candidate must be either a US Citizen or a Lawful Permanent Resident
- Basic computer skills - locate/open files, send/receive emails, process/enter details in service reports
- Ability to perform basic welding with high quality
- Ability to work in tight spaces
- Ability to work at elevation (ladders, lifts, scaffolding)
- Ability to lift 35 pounds
- Ability to read and understand standard operating procedures and use measurement devices
- Ability to use transportation equipment to deliver and retrieve material, personnel, and toolboxes at job sites
- Ability to perform basic carpentry tasks (framing, walls, ceilings, etc.)
- Ability to select and utilize the appropriate tools the performance of job tasks. This position will utilize tools such as, but not limited to: hand tools, cordless tools, welders, cables, pulleys, winches, impact wrench, punch press, shear, band saw, arbor press, forklift, overhead crane, backhoe, jackhammer, micrometers, level, calipers and other similar tools.
- Develop proper rigging techniques for moving/repositioning machines and equipment
- Move machine tools and plant equipment
- Fabricate and erect steel and other structures
- Install and repair overhead cranes, conveyors, and elevating devices
- Maintain mechanical portions of motion control devices including but not limited to spindles, belts, bearings, gear boxes, sheaves, ball screws, turrets and drive shafts
- Perform precision installation and alignment of mechanical components (e.g. pumps, bearings, gears, bushings, shafts, couplers, etc.)
- Perform repairs to machine guards and guarding systems
- Perform basic equipment servicing (cleaning, lubrication, coolant, filters, etc.)
- Clean facility and production equipment (internal/exterior surfaces, contaminants - residues/oil/dirt/chips, etc.)
- Perform all work activity in a safe manner while maintaining compliance to Honeywell's Health Safety and Environment Management System (HSEMS).
- Perform work with high quality. Utilize best practices and the appropriate tools, materials and parts for the task at hand.
- Perform work in an efficient manner. Escalate quickly when issues arise that prevent timely completion of work assignments. Actively seek new assignments when work is completed faster than expected.
- Implement processes to sustain a clean and orderly workplace. Ensure equipment and work areas are cleaned and all tools are properly stored at the completion of each assignment.
- Actively participate in defining, documenting and continuously improving maintenance procedures in the pursuit of the safest, most productive, work methods.
