Primary Purpose:
The Respiratory Care Manager has 24-hour responsibility and accountability for appropriately allocating and managing available human, financial, and material resources to promote the delivery of quality-focused and cost-effective client centered care. Provides focus and direction to quality improvement initiatives and implements appropriate practice/system changes based upon findings from monitoring and evaluation activities. The ability to empower staff and build mutually beneficial partnerships with physicians and other interdisciplinary health team members are key components of the manager's leadership role. Demonstrates behaviors reflective of the mission and core values of UC Health as well as those specific to required competencies for successful job performance. Demonstrates basic PC and Windows skills.Knowledge and Skills:
Education: Graduate of an accredited National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) School of Respiratory Care; possessing a bachelor's degree in science, education or business administration or enrolled in a bachelor's level education program.
Years of Experience: Five or more years of current clinical experience relevant to respiratory care and documented leadership potential required; three or more years experience in respiratory care management role within acute or long-term care facility desired.
Licences and Certifications: Currently licensed to practice as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the State of Ohio. BCLS required; ACLS desired.
