The Caldwell YMCA opened its doors on October 27, 2005. Since that time it has become a hallmark of the community, impacting the lives of thousands of kids and families. Facility amenities include a large cardio and weight floor, full-court basketball gym, three fitness studios, and a state of the art aquatics center including a lap-pool, splash pad, pretzel slide, and lazy-river.
The Youth Program Lead provides administrative support, leadership, and program supervision within the Kid Zone and Youth Activity Center at the Caldwell Branch of the Treasure Valley YMCA. In addition, the Lead develops relationships with participants and parents, and ensures a friendly, safe, and welcoming environment for all participants.
Key Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years old. Must have current CPR certification or the ability to obtain within 45 days. Must have experience working with youth ages. Must have demonstrated leadership and team-building skills, and the ability to relate to youth of all ages. Must have the emotional maturity necessary to coach staff and mediate conflict. Must have ability to maintain records and data sheets (attendance, leadership assessments, parent surveys, etc.).
Physical Requirements: Must have ability to walk, stand, and sit (including on the floor) for extended periods of time. Position may require bending, kneeling stooping, and crouching. Must have the ability to view/enter data and curriculum for long periods of time. Must have the ability to lift and carry food and supplies weighing up to 30 lbs.
Schedule Requirements: This is a full-time position at 40 hours per week, with a varying schedule based on need. Schedule will fall within the hours of Monday-Friday 7:00am-7:00pm and Saturday 9:00am-12:00pm. Applicants must be able to attend meetings and training which may fall outside of regular hours.
