Memorandum Writer (Creative Design)



Job Description 

Summary/objective

The primary purpose of this position is to assist the practice group with preparing memorandums for clients that may involve some research. This individual will need to have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, performing tasks quickly and with a high level of attention to detail. 

Essential functions

  • Researches, compiles, describes, organizes, analyzes, and presents data and information for proposals
  • Attend meetings to gain insight into project and apply to proposal/grant response
  • Writes coherent, organized, and compelling reports
  • Collaborate with others, including project managers and clients, to document facts
  • Manage multiple writing projects
  • Must be adept at independent research to support written deliverables
  • Must work under tight deadlines to produce written material

Work environment

Work to be performed in remotely or in a HORNE office setting 

 

Physical demands

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Required education and experience

  • On track for or has graduated with a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
  • Strong written communication skills; ability to write clearly, concisely, structured, articulate and persuasive
  • Ability to manage and prioritize projects effectively to meet office and client deadlines
  • Must be proficient in using Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to work well in both independent and highly collaborative settings

Preferred education and experience

  • Prior experience in creative writing, grant writing, legal writing,journalism, etc.
