POSITION SUMMARY:
The Enterprise Architect defines an integrated holistic IT architecture to support the Federal Reserve System lines of business and IT Strategy. Defines how the future needs of the business will be met in a sustainable, agile and adaptable manner. Provides the blueprint, roadmaps and rules to manage business technology growth and services. Sets the IT architectural principles, standards, best practices, guidelines and vision for the enterprise, including the enterprise transition to the cloud. Ensures the enforcement and integrity of the architecture and to deliver value for the business in the most efficient and effective manner. Be able to lead efforts independently with minimal supervision.
Anticipates internal and or external business challenges and/or regulatory issues; recommends process, product or service improvements. Solves unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business. Contributes to the development of functional strategy. Leads project teams to achieve milestones and objectives. Provides consultation to the business on their cloud strategy.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Interprets and transforms business strategy and process into tactical plans, maps technology to application solutions, and ensures the technical solutions are in alignment with the business and IT strategies.
Creates robust, extensible enterprise architecture for moderate to high complexity systems. Partners with project teams/solution architect(s) to ensure application architecture align with enterprise architecture goals and objectives. Works collaboratively with others to lead the definition of application architecture for technology-based business solutions, by applying industry best practices or FR System based standards.
Partners with multiple IT groups to establish and keep relevant multi-year business architecture and related technical roadmaps and architectures that facilitate the achievement of business strategies, objectives, and goals, including delivery of innovative and transformational solutions.
Provides forward thinking, strategic input to business as they refine and refresh multi-year strategic plans. Maintains an up-to-date perspective of information technology industry including design and architectural patterns, best practices, industry trends and technology trends. Actively conducts research to ensure the business remains innovative and relevant in the technology space.
Designs and implements standards, tools and methodologies to ensure the overall IT Portfolio`s architecture is maintained in a coherent manner. Establishes practical design approaches and standards through product research, evaluation, and proof-of-concept activities and ensures product quality through architecture and design review.
Represents Dallas IT on System-wide workgroups and communities and contributes to System standards, tools and methodologies.
Provides technical guidance to Software/Data/InfoSec Architects assigned to technology studies and implementation projects by serving as a sounding board and mentor.

EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or similar technical discipline. Master Degree preferred. MBA is a plus.
10-12 years` experience in serving as an architect within a medium to large company or consulting organization including at least recent 2 years in an enterprise architect role.
EXPERIENCE:
WORK HOURS AND CONDITIONS:
M-F from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.; flexibility/additional hours may be required; some travel required, up to 25%; if remote up to 50%.
