Reporting into the PSRO Marketing Director, the Sr. Portfolio Marketing Manager is responsible for key prioritized ranges with the Royal Canin brand, leading the segment towards aspirations to triple in size by 2030.As an owner of the Healthy Pet portfolio, the Healthy Pet Mktg Lead will craft the portfolio strategy, innovation roadmap (in partnership with global), new product designs & packaging review, 360 activation plan, and measure & track results.

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field required, MBA preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in Marketing, Brand Management, Shopper Marketing
  • Strong track record of developing and executing Brand visions and strategies with the ability to inspire and lead a team/matrix organization to deliver business results consistently
  • Previous experience with innovation
  • Strong knowledge of traditional Marketing, brief development, omnichannel strategies, and global collaboration.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement scalable frameworks (e.g. Flywheel) that drive business growth.
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret complex insights and translate them into actionable strategies.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills to influence and align cross-functional teams across diverse teams and Business Units.
  • Experience managing agency relationships and governance.

What would be your key responsibilities?

  • Ambition/Vision & Strategy - Sets the future ambition for the Priority Healthy Pet ranges, inclusive of size-of-prize and building blocks needed to hit financial goals and targets. Develops vision for priority ranges, with specific strategies & choices to articulate what is needed to differentiate and win in the marketplace.
  • Innovation & Deployment - Drives innovation pipeline, product launch/disco, and range prioritization to deliver a plan to support growth goals for assigned ranges. Manages local delivery of globally developed innovation for multiple portfolio ranges. Works with Global and Regional Innovation Managers to influence product pipelines and create products/claims and package design for the North American market. Supports innovation/renovation initiatives by providing estimate volumes and critical success factors. Supports sales team needs including sell in and communication materials for innovation/renovation. Leads Local Activity for innovation/renovation, interfacing with multiple cross functional areas. Partners with Global Marketing, Global R&D, Regional Marketing, and Corporate Affairs to ensure that strategies are aligned with product level plans.
  • 360 Activation & Execution - Leverages Mars frameworks to build holistic, 360-degree activation plans that span across marketing levers and teams, with specific KPIs that define success. Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual product level marketing plans to drive growth and hit overall financial objectives. Works with SEO and content teams to ensure that content development is tied to product strategy. Is responsible for final signoff of product level content and articles.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership - Acts as a transversal leader across Business Units to ensure stakeholders are "rowing in the same direction" with regards to activation plans, financial results, and KPIs. Pulls stakeholders together formally and informally and leans into healthy tension to ensure organizational success.
  • Results & Accountability - Identifies and communicates both financial and quantitative KPIs tied to ambition & vision, while holding cross-functional stakeholders accountable. Creates and leverages weekly and monthly reports to help track against goals. Manages portfolio budget, forecasts expenses, and allocates spend based on ROI by activity. Understands the business model of retailers, effectively manages agencies, and understands how to leverage internal processes to drive opportunities for Royal Canin, retailers and Pet Owners.

The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between the range listed below, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including but not limited to, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.The total compensation package for this position mayalso include other elements, if eligible, including variable pay, medical and dental benefits, participation in 401k plan, and paid time off benefits. Eligibility for these additional elements depend on the position offeredand the employee's work schedule (i.e., part-time schedule, store associate). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an applicant receives an offer of employment.
